Humane Society calendar available

As 2009 winds down, it's time to start thinking about getting a 2010 calendar.

For the first time, the Humane Society of Manatee County is offering a 15-month calendar for 2010-2011 called Passions & Paws. Inspired by the 2003 movie ”Calendar Girls,“ each month features a photo of one of Manatee's prominent women of business and industry posing with a beloved pet. The photos also reveal their individual passions (other than their pets). This calendar shows the diversity of animal lovers in the community.

Calendars are $20 if picked up at the Humane Society of Manatee County or $25 if shipped. They also can be ordered online.

All proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Manatee County and its mission to create a ”Humane Community“ where animals receive the compassion and respect they deserve and adoptable dogs and

cats are not euthanized because of a lack of resources and awareness.
