BRADENTON--IMG Academy in Bradenton will host the 12th annual Florida Baseball Umpires Clinic between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on January 15, 2011.

Former professional umpire Todd Paskiet is the session’s lead instructor. Paskiet worked eight Years in professional Baseball and is a 2001 Graduate of the Harry Wendelstedt School of Umpires. He umpired in each of the following leagues: Gulf Coast League (Rookie), Appalachian (Low A), South Atlantic (A), Florida State (High A) and Southern (AA) and three years in the International League (AAA).
During his eight seasons as an umpire, Paskiet was selected to work three league playoff series, two league championship series, and also was chosen as the Southern League All-Star Game Crew Chief before being promoted to Triple-A. His last year in professional baseball was 2008. Since then, he has been the head instructor at various camps and clinics.
Registration for the umpiring session at IMG is $60 in advance and $65 on the day of the clinic. T-shirts and lunch are included. For more information contact Joe Cappuccio at 941-323-9747.
