Joseph E. Adamo (Joe) passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, with his loving wife by his side. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle whose presence, wisdom, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Born with a strong sense of duty and determination, Joe enlisted in the U.S. Army shortly after graduating high school. His time in the service instilled in him a deep work ethic, resilience, and a commitment to serving others-values he carried throughout his life.

After completing his military service, Joe returned home, began building his family, and took on a variety of jobs to provide for his loved ones. What began as a temporary position at Leviton Manufacturing Company would become a nearly 40-year career.

Joe worked in the factory's quality control department and, true to his nature, never stopped striving for more. While working full-time and raising a family, he attended night school to earn his bachelor's degree and later, his master's degree.

Joe's dedication and leadership took him from the role of foreman to the training department at Leviton, where he found one of his greatest callings: helping others succeed. He was especially proud of assisting many individuals in earning their high school equivalency diplomas, believing deeply in the power of education and determination.

Joe also had a strong faith and spent much of his adult life actively involved in his church community. He was a longtime member of the choir and served as a Eucharistic Minister-roles he embraced with humility and heart.

Outside of work and church, Joe enjoyed life's simple pleasures. He had a deep love for the game of golf and cherished his time on the course with friends. He was also the heart behind the weekly card game, organizing and hosting with enthusiasm. These gatherings were filled with laughter, friendship, and stories-Joe had a gift for storytelling, always ready to share a memory or a well-timed joke that brought smiles to everyone around him.

His greatest joy, however, came from being with his family. He rarely missed a sporting event, proudly cheering on his children and grandchildren from the sidelines or stands. Holidays were always hosted at the Adamo home, where he created a space filled with love, laughter, and lasting traditions.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Adrienne (Pagliarini) Adamo. He is also survived by his sons: Michael Adamo and his wife Anne, and Stephen Adamo and his wife Susan. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Dawn Fox, and is lovingly remembered by her husband, Doug. His legacy continues through his six cherished grandchildren and six adored great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Joe will be remembered for his strength, humility, tireless work ethic, deep faith, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. His life was a beautiful journey filled with love, music, laughter, and countless quiet acts of generosity that left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

A Mass to honor Joseph E. Adamo will be held at Ss. Peter and Paul the Apostle Church, 2850 75th Street West, Bradenton, FL, on April 26, 2025, at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice House in Bradenton, Florida.
