Letter to the Editor: Buying American is a Matter of National Defense

Dear Editor,

Today this is something that got my attention and I just had to let my friends know what I thought we should do about it!!

"U.S. Cybercops Caught Flat-Footed by Massive Global Cyber attack"!!!!!!

Huge cyber spying effort revealed, CHINA suspected!!!! of penetrating computer networks of:

The United States / US Defense Contractors with "sensitive military technologies." / US Energy Department research Lab / Two US national security think tanks / US State and County Governments &  Global oil companies, stealing financial documents on bidding plans and other confidential information.

It is believed, based on the targeting and the scale and the impact of these operations, and the fact that they didn't just have an economic gain in mind, but also political and military!!
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP!!

The American Consumer has the ability to influence major retailers like Wall-Mart / Sears and dozens of others to carry more products that are MADE IN THE USA.

If we really want to do something about the American economy we must "STOP" purchasing Made in CHINA products!! The most Powerful Weapons we have to use against China is not the Bullets & Bombs that are located on some Secret Military Base!!

"NO" The "Most Powerful Weapons" We Americans have are located in our Wallets!! And they are called American $$$$$$$!!

If the American Consumers United and started insisting that Major Retailers started carrying more MADE IN THE USA. products we could cure a lot of our unemployment problems!!

One of the reasons The United States of American became the Richest!! Most Powerful Country in the World was because of the tens of millions of jobs created by American Manufactures & Entrepreneurs over the past century!!

People came here because they wanted to build a better life for their families/ freedom of speech and  worship the God of their choice.

They built factories that produced thousands of products & railroads & highways to get those products from coast to coast!! Tens of Millions of more jobs were created by our ever growing population and their need to for more products & services.

Americans purchased "American Made" products like, Automobiles/ Radios/ TV's/ Appliances/ Apparel/ Steel/ Computers & thousands of other things! If Americans wanted it! or needed it! we produced it!

These Tens of Millions of jobs created a steady income stream that built America into the Richest and most Powerful Country in the World! These jobs gave Millions of American families finical freedom and the abality to buy Homes / Automobiles & send their children to college!

In November 1993, with the encouragement of President Clinton & Al Gore Congress passed the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), despite widespread popular "Opposition"!

As a result Millions of Manufacturing jobs that had traditionally provided high wages & good benefits and allowed "American" workers to provide for their families were exported to Mexico/ China/ India/ Pakistan & others.

I think we should reconsider what the real value of these Tens of Millions of "Menial" jobs are worth to the United States & Our American way of life!! "Menial" is what our politicians called them!!

For the last 18 years Americans have been losing these "Menial" jobs because politicians on both sides have been encouraging manufactures to build factories and provide tax breaks for companies that move production offshore to countries that don't have child labor laws or environmental regulations that protect their workers and their natural resources. 

For 16 years, The Heritage Foundation and The Wall Street Journal have been measuring economic freedom in countries worldwide & found that Higher levels of economic freedom lead to higher living standards and healthier human development. Greater economic freedom provides more choices and improves the quality of life by opening opportunities and promoting innovation.

In 2012 Instead of Taxing! Taxing! Taxing! We need to elect "Business Minded" Individuals that will help bring these jobs back home to America and give "Our Working Men & Women" the abality to support their families without standing in line for government handouts or asking others too "Share The Wealth"!!
