Linda Jean Washington, born on October 21, 1953, to Calvin and Bernice Williams in Bradenton, Florida, was called home on April 6, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family.
A proud graduate of the Manatee High School Class of 1972, Linda continued her education at Sarasota Vocational School, where she earned a certificate in data entry. In 1976, she married her high school sweetheart, Roosevelt Washington Jr., and together they built a beautiful life in Bradenton. Their marriage lasted until Roosevelt's passing in 2014. Linda and Roosevelt shared a deep love for the Lord and enjoyed attending church together, always placing family and faith at the center of their lives.
Linda's professional career spanned several decades. She worked at AC Nielsen right after completing her data entry certification. She retired from Tropicana Products after 23 years of dedicated service and later retired from Walmart, where she worked for 21 years. Her coworkers and friends will always remember her for her vibrant sense of humor and her kind, loving heart. Linda was especially fond of the holidays, particularly Christmas and Thanksgiving, as they brought her family together-the one thing she cherished most.
Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roosevelt Washington Jr.; her grandson, Stefan Madry; her parents, Calvin and Bernice Williams; two sisters, Carolyn Eutsey and Mae Lois Mitchell; and two brothers, Calvin Williams Jr. and Gerald Williams.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion. Linda is survived by her four children: Lorri Washington Bradenton FL, Apryl Washington Williams (Chris) Dallas, GA, Earecka Washington Ruskin, FL, and Roosevelt Washington III (Stephanie) Palmetto, FL. She also leaves 16 grandchildren: Shambria Washington, Mia Barnes (Dylan), Julyssa Morris, Michael Barnes Jr., Jamiliah Morris, Earec Davis, Jahmal Barnes, Ma'Kayla Washington, Julian Morris Jr., Steven Madry, Jasmine Washington, Mariah Williams, Rochelle Washington, Christopher Williams Jr., and Earecka Byrd. Additionally, she is survived by three great-grandchildren: Honesti Jones, Lavon Miledge, and Nala Morris.
Linda also leaves behind one brother, Clarence Williams (Teresa) Rochester, NY two sisters, Berda Mae Goff Rochester, NY and Delores Mack Dunedin, FL, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends, all of whom will forever cherish her memory.
Linda's love, warmth, and unwavering faith have left a lasting imprint on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and loved ones.
