Local Charity Seeks to Re-establish Itself

BRADENTON – The United Christian Association, a local charity active in the mid 90's, is looking to reestablish itself in the Manatee area. The organization says its mission is to raise funds for battered and abused women, children and veterans, with an emphasis on aiding those who are homeless.    

They hope to assist children in these situations through sporting events, outdoor activities and cultural events that many of them have no way of experiencing without the help of volunteers and donors. In the past, the organization says it has collaborated with other organizations to deliver aid and also raised money for various charitable organizations like the United Way, Red Cross and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
