BRADENTON — At Thursday's land use meeting, Commissioners voted to approve the Robinson Gateway Development at I-75 and Moccasin Wallow Road in north county. Members also approved Property Maintenance and Structural Standards Ordinance 15-10, restricting boats and clothes lines from sight on residential properties.

-- Whitmore -- Made a motion to send a letter to Representative Buchanan asking him to speak against the closing of the Holmes Beach Post Office. Whitmore also wanted to have county attorneys look into having any new pet shop not be allowed to get their puppies from a puppy mill; which many do.
-- Baugh -- thought it was funny the Observer put an April Fools joke in their paper that stated there would be two roundabouts, one at S.R. 64, and the other at S.R. 70.
-- Chappie -- said he has gotten many complaints about the noise at the IMG Academy. Chappie said "I am lost to what to do."
-- Benac -- There is a Southwest Tif event April 16.
