Local Government Land Use Meeting Preview for May 7, 2015

BRADENTON — At Thursday's Land Use Meeting, the BOCC will hold the first of two public hearings on various changes to its Land Development Code.


The changes include reorganization of some of the language and updating Land Development Code cross-references to Florida Statutes and Florida Administrative Code. The changes to the LDC were approved unanimously at the BOCC's April 9 meeting, and now have to go through the Land Use board.


In other business, the board will vote on approval to rezone a Planned Development Residential and approve a Preliminary Site Plan for 92 single family lots at 63rd Avenue East and Lockwood Ridge.


The board will also vote on approval of a Preliminary Site Plan to expand the Timberlane RV Park. The expansion of the RV Park would be for 41 additional RV spaces and 15 mobile home spaces.
