Local Government Manatee County Land Use Meeting Agenda Results: March 5, 2015

BRADENTON — At Thursday's Land Use meeting, Manatee County Commissioners approved phase II of the north county Heron Creek development, adding an additional 10 lots, and an indoor Shoot Straight firing range in south county. Commissioners also approved plans to build a Aldi grocery store in east county on S.R. 70 and 45th Street East.

Chappie -- Uli is now finished in Manatee county. Justin McBride, from Lee County, will be the new WCIND Chief.

DiSabatino --  said 'All is unanimous, not a majority.' (DiSabatino was referring to Whitmore's statement, "Unanimous has two meanings, all and majority.") 

Baugh -- "I attended a meeting on road infrastructure."

Whitmore -- "The Home Protection Act passed in the state senate, the first day. Shelly Hamilton, from Planning resigned and will be working in the private sector.

Benac -- said she stopped by the Palmetto City Commission expecting to hear cheers from them about the success of the Regatta, but there were only complaints. "They said they were cut out and didn't profit at all from the Regatta. They weren't happy at all."
