COMMISSIONER AGENDA
CITIZEN COMMENTS (Consideration for Future Agenda)
COMMISSIONER COMMENTS –
County Attorney Mickey Palmer said Governor Scott signed a Department of Juvenile Justice bill on cost sharing between Tallahassee and the county at 50/50. He said the caveat was each county that signs the release contract has to dismiss all legal actions and forgive any previous debt born to those cases as well as any future clawback action. Motion to sign release and return to Tallahassee – Approved, Unanimous
– Whitmore said she heard from Mr. Wheeler's son and he told her his father was very ill, in need of assistance and Whitmore recommended Hospice.
– DiSabatino mentioned the brand new WAWA by Walmart is ready to open but somehow the right-turn lane (to pull into WAWA) is missing, as if it had not been in the plans. DiSabatino said, "It is going to be very difficult for those going to the store to get in there. Then DiSabatino said she saw the tube video on the aftermath of the Animal Services investigation and disciplinary action. DiSabatino's point was more to the lack of action and aghast that no one was fired or went to jail. (full story)
