CONSENT AGENDA unanimously approved
1.) PA-10-19/ORDINANCE 10-19 STANK, LLC
Request to amend future land use from RES-3 to MU (mixed use-up to 9 dwellings per acre) for 67 acres.
Resident Robert Fin came forward to voice opposition to the request because he felt that 29th Sreet East was not wide enough to support traffic from the development.
Miles Gentry, commission staff, said that a 49th Avenue East through-fare was the solution.
Resident Shelia Fin told the board that they should focus on the unfinished development. She said that 29th Street East was littered with vacant and vandalized homes.
2.) PA-10-03/ORDINANCE 10-03 WATER CROSSING
Request to designate 23 acres of property from UF-3 (urban fringe- up to 3 dwellings per acre) to ROR (retail office and residential)
Land is located on the northwest corner of SR 64 East and Upper Manatee River Road
3.) PA-10-01/ORDINANCE 10-01 CROSSROADS AT SW MANATEE
Request to designate a total of 1,420 acres from MU-C/RU (mixed use – community/residential urban sub area) to a combination of ROR, RES-6 and RES-9
4.) PA-10-05/ORDINANCE 10-05 EVERS RESERVOIR WATERSHED AMENDMENT pulled for discussion
5.) PA-10-40 RECLAIMED WATER – EVERS RESERVOIR WATERSHED OVERLAY DISTRICT pulled for discussion

4 & 5.) PA-10-05/ORDINANCE 10-05 EVERS RESERVOIR WATERSHED AMENDMENT & PA-10-40 RECLAIMED WATER – EVERS RESERVOIR WATERSHED OVERLAY DISTRICT passed 5-1
Commissioner McClash was the only commissioner who opposed it.
One resident Dr. Lois Congdon stated her opposition citing that it caused birth defects.
Terri Behling of Southwest Florida Water Management stated that she believed water to be perfectly safe for humans and animals.
Amendment to allow reuse of reclaimed water in households
Water has been 150 percent treated.
Majority of the affected area will be in Lakewood Ranch.
Manatee County is the only county if FL that doesn’t use reclaimed water in households.
There are other areas in the county that are already using reclaimed water.
6.) PA-10-02/ORDINANCE 10-02 ROBINSON FARMS 3-3, re-vote Monday by request of developer for full committee
Several residents voiced opposition for various reasons including safety issues
A petition with 300 signatures was given to the commission for to consider
The commission staff recommended not approving the request to change approx 50 acres from RES-1 to RES-3 because of safety issue in the event of an evacuation.
Chappie, McClash and Hayes voted against the proposal; Bustle, Whitmore and Brown voted for it.
Neal Communities requested a re-vote Monday when all Commissioners could be present.
Ron Getman was absent due to health issues but will participate in re-vote via telephone.
7.) PA-10-14/ORDINANCE 10-14 COUNTY INITIATED TEXT AMENDMENT approved unanimously
A text amendment to the conservation element that will allow more option for use of land
The county will still require developers to protect wetland areas.
