Manatee County Government Offices Closed Memorial Day

MANATEE COUNTY, FL (May 24, 2010) – Manatee County Government offices will be closed Monday, May 31 to commemorate Memorial Day.

Trash, recycling and yard waste collections for the week will be postponed one day from Tuesday through Saturday for residents in unincorporated Manatee.

The Anna Maria Island Trolley will operate normal daily routes but Manatee County Area Transit operations will be suspended for the day.

Manatee County parks will be open to the public.  Manatee County and Buffalo Creek Golf Courses will be open.  G.T. Bray Recreation Center facilities will be closed on Monday, May 30.  Blackstone Skate Park will be open. G.T. Bray Skate Park is closed for repairs.

Central Library, the only county library normally open on Mondays, will be closed.

Manatee County’s publicly owned natural preserves will remain open.
