Central Florida Public School Boards Coalition
BRADENTON - Manatee School Board Member Dave Miner was installed Thursday as Chairman of the
Central Florida Public School Boards Coalition at the Coalition's mid-year meeting held at Tampa's Grand Hyatt Hotel in conjunction with the winter meeting of the Florida School Boards Association.
The Coalition consists of 13 schoool districts stretching from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean and focuses on advocacy and best practice sharing to increase achievement of the over 1 million students within the Coalitions's district's.
Miner currently also serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida School Boards Association, and, before stepping up to be the Coalition's Chair, served 2 years as Vice Chair of the Manatee County School Board.
Miner succeeds Dr. Tina Calderone of Seminole County.
