According to graduation data released Thursday by the Florida Department of Education, Manatee County School District's graduation rate increased 3.4 percentage points during the 2023-2024 school year. The Manatee District’s overall graduation rate rose from 82.3 percent in 2022-2023 to 85.7 percent in 2023-2024.
Highlights of the graduation results released today include:
“Today’s results are a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication of our high school seniors and those invested in their success,” said Superintendent Jason Wysong. “The support our students receive every day from their parents, families, teachers and school leaders is the driving force behind the gains in graduation rates. We are proud of the improvements, and we are committed to making further advances, for the Class 2025 and beyond.”
School District leaders will present more information about the initiatives and programs that contributed to these increases during the School Board meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., held at the Walter E. Miller School Support Center, located at 215 Manatee Avenue West, in Bradenton.
