BRADENTON–-State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), in partnership with Lab Volt, Banner Center for Manufacturing Education, Hillsborough Community College, Tallahassee Community College and Polk State College, will offer Manufacturing Skills Standard Council (MSSC) training. The course will be held at 5:30 – 9:30 p.m., Monday and Thursday, January 20 – March 24, SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Pkwy. East, Center for Innovation and Technology, Room 203.

The 80-hour course provides instruction in advanced manufacturing content including workplace essentials, safety, production and processes and maintenance and quality awareness.
Upon completion of the training and passing required examinations, participants are eligible to receive a nationally recognized MSSC Certified Production Technician (CPT) certificate that can be used to obtain 15 credit hours toward an associate’s degree in engineering technology.
The cost for the course is $375.
