BRADENTON – The Bradenton Marauders, the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, will play its first 2015 home game on Saturday, April 11, at McKechnie Field. The Marauders open the season on the road for the third consecutive year, kicking off the Florida State League schedule onThursday, April 9, at Tradition Field in Port St. Lucie. The Marauders face the St. Lucie Mets (New York Mets) in both the season opener and the home opener.
Marauders home games will start at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Games on Wednesdays and Sundays will begin at 1:00 p.m. Sunday home games in August will shift to a 5:00 p.m. first pitch. The game on Wednesday, July 15 will be played at 6:30 p.m. Three additional Wednesday games will begin at 10:30 a.m. The morning games will be on May 27 (Education Day), July 8 (Camp Day), and July 29 (Camp Day). Gates will open one hour prior to the start of all regularly scheduled home games.
St. Lucie will be the Marauders’ most frequent opponent in 2015. The Marauders and Mets face each other 20 times, including 10 meetings at McKechnie Field. The other four South Division teams, Fort Myers (Minnesota Twins), Jupiter (Miami Marlins), Palm Beach (St. Louis Cardinals), and St. Lucie (New York Mets) will each visit McKechnie Field for nine games in 2015. Fort Myers is the defending Florida State League Champion.
Each North Division team will visit McKechnie Field for four games this season. The first interdivisional series is May 26-29 against the Daytona Cubs (Chicago Cubs). The Marauders host Tampa (New York Yankees) from June 15-18, take on Brevard County (Milwaukee Brewers) June 27-30, face Lakeland (Detroit Tigers) July 15-18, and welcome Dunedin (Toronto Blue Jays) July 22-25. Clearwater (Philadelphia Phillies) comes to McKechnie Field for two two-game visits, June 10-11 and July 28-29.
Season tickets for 2015 are on sale now. For $300, fans receive a ticket to all 70 games and the right to exchange unused tickets for the best available seating at the game of their choice. Accounts paid in full by November 15 will receive an early bird bonus: a $50 concessions credit and a $50 merchandise credit at the team store. Season ticket holders get the best value for their tickets and many perks that are for season ticket holders only.
