Marauders Beat Jupiter 4-2 on Latimore's Home Run

LF Quincy Latimore

BRADENTON -- ”Double Deuce“ Quincy Latimore went deep for the second night in a row, as Bradenton once again coasted to victory over Jupiter. The three-run first that ensued was all that the Marauders would need to beat the Hammerheads 4-2 at McKechnie. My son lamented having missed Quincy’s homer the night before, and told him prior to the game that he felt confident that the clutch-hitting left fielder had another dinger in him.

Latimore promised the old college try and then left the yard on his first at bat. Now poor Sullivan is left with the impression that called shots are as easy as tossing crumpled paper into the circular file and will surely expect the same at our next outing. Jeff Locke threw 6 scoreless innings and Noah Krol picked up a lead leading 17th save, as Bradenton won their second straight at home. The series concludes tonight at 6 p.m. Come on out and support your hometown team!
