Calvin Anderson is now 6th in the FSL in homers |
BRADENTON -- Calvin Anderson is back in his groove. The streaky 6’8 first baseman went 3-4 with two big homers (8) to lead Bradenton past the hammerheads 9-7 last night at McKechnie Field. Center fielder Quincy Latimore also went 3-4 and also took one deep for his seventh dinger of the season.
The normally reliable Nate Adcock got battered for all seven runs in six innings, but solid relief saved the day. Tyler Cox, Ramon Aguero, and Noah Krol each threw a scoreless inning to get the job done. Cox (4-1) picked up the win, while Krol got his 16th save of the season and now leads the FSL. The series continues tonight at McKechnie Field, 7.p.m.
