Posted

BRADENTON – The Bradenton Marauders will host Seinfeld Night on Saturday, May 7 when the defending Florida State League Champion Charlotte Stone Crabs visit McKechnie Field. Shortstop Kevin Newman and second baseman Kevin Kramer, the Bradenton double play duo whose monikers match the famous Seinfeld characters, will lead the Marauders against the Tampa Bay Rays’ High-A affiliate. First pitch is at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

McKechnie Field will be transformed into Vandelay Industries Park for the night. Marauders staff will dress as Seinfeld characters and fans are encouraged to dress the part as well! There will be a Festivus celebration, so come prepared to air your grievances and display feats of strength!

The in-game contests for this night will all be Seinfeld themed. Women can trace their hands at the ”man hands“ station. The woman with the biggest hands will win a free manicure! A free enter-to-win contest will be held for all fans, with the winner receiving a Kevin Newman and Kevin Kramer signed Seinfeld DVD box set featuring every episode!

Free admission and a ceremonial first pitch opportunity will be offered to any mailman who comes to the game in uniform. The free ticket and first pitch will also be extended to any president of a Florida community Home Owners Association who attends the game. A portion of proceeds on all paid tickets to the game will benefit the Human Fund.

McKechnie Field concessions locations will be offering Seinfeld themed fare. Cereal and milk, big salads, Double Dip Your Chip Nachos, Mini Muffin Stumps, and marble rye loaves will be offered. Don’t forget to grab a beverage before enjoying ”These Pretzels Are Making Me Thirsty Pretzels.“ Sew up your ballpark meal with Junior Mints.

Kevin Newman and Kevin Kramer were drafted in the first and second round respectively in the 2015 draft. The Pirates used the 19th selection in the draft to pick Newman from the University of Arizona. Kramer played collegiately at UCLA.

The McKechnie Field box office hours are Tuesday-Friday non-gamedays from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. On gamedays the box office will be open on weekdays from 11:00 a.m. until the end of the game and on weekends from two hours before first pitch until the end of the game.
