BRADENTON – The
Marauders (60-56, 22-26) took game three by a final of 4-2 to sweep their series with the St. Lucie Mets (61-53, 26-21).
The game was scoreless until John Mora (2-for-4, HR) hit a solo home run to right field with two out in the sixth to give the Mets a 1-0 lead.
But the Marauders responded in the bottom half of the inning. Tito Polo (2-for-4, RBI, R) knocked an RBI single with two away to tie the game at one. Kevin Kramer (1-for-4, 2 RBI) followed with a two-run single to give Bradenton a 3-1 lead.
Wyatt Mathisen (1-for-3, 2B, RBI) added an RBI double in the seventh to make it 4-1 Marauders.
Yeudy Garcia went 5 scoreless innings giving up 3 hits and 2 walks with 7 strikeouts.
Bradenton takes the season series from St. Lucie 11-6, and they went 9-0 against the Mets at McKechnie Field.
