Marie Hejra (nee Kalal), age 84, born January 8, 1939, passed away October 21, 2023. Marie Hejra (nee Kalal), age 84, passed away on October 21, 2023, after battling declining health for several months. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Bernadine (Schoenbeck) Kalal, and brother Donald. She was born and raised in Cleveland, OH, and graduated from John Marshall High School.
Marie is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Thomas E. Hejra, daughter Lynn (Francis) Webster of Bradenton, FL., cherished granddaughter Kathryn (Juan) Morales, and great grandmother of Aliyah and Owen; all of Naples, FL. Dear aunt, cousin, and cherished friend of many.
Marie and her family were longtime residents of Cleveland, and Brunswick, OH before moving to Florida full time in 2015. She was a 30-year employee of Sears in Middleburg Hts. before retiring in 2001. Marie was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary for over 20 years. She and Tom resided at their retirement community, Eagle Village, in Bradenton, FL.
A memorial service will be held in Bradenton, FL at a later date.
