Movers and Shakers: Cedar Hammock Golf & Country Club

VENICE, Fla. – Venice-based J.E. Charlotte Construction Corp. (www.JECharlotte.com), a commercial construction company that offers a full range of construction management services, began renovating the existing fitness center and aerobics room for the Cedar Hammock Golf & Country Club, a championship 18-hole golf course and club in Naples, Fla.

Slated for completion on September 6, 2016, the $250,000 interior renovation includes revamping the 4,000-square-foot fitness room’s aerobics room and the restroom and locker room areas as well as updating the air conditioning, lighting, flooring and ceilings.

The fitness center’s previous traditional locker room will be replaced and transformed into updated spa-like restrooms with light and bright elements that feature clean and modern lines.

Interior designer Lisa Miles-Briggs, president of Club Design Group, and her team will work closely with J.E. Charlotte Construction Corp on the major makeover. The architect on the project is Jim Titsch from Titsch and Ko Architects.

”The modernized facilities will have a clean-looking and fresh environment,“ said Miles-Briggs. ”Design elements include dark walnut furniture-style vanities with white quartz countertops, rectangular vessel sinks, mosaic tiles as an accent feature, oversized mirrors and white marble wall and floor tiles.“

Built-in bookcases are also being installed in the facilities’ entrance hallway with wall sconces and specialty lighting.

Located at 8660 Cedar Hammock Blvd. in Naples, Cedar Hammock Golf & Country Club has a 6,675-yard, Par-72 course that was designed by legendary golf course architects, Jed Azinger and Gordon Lewis. Amenities for members include four heated community pools, a restaurant and full-service bar, four maintained and lighted Har-Tru tennis courts with a seasonal tennis professional and fitness classes, such as yoga and water aerobics.
