TAMPA BAY – HT Family of Companies and Title Management, LLC have recently created a new Florida network of independent title companies.
The Florida Agency Network is now Florida’s largest independent title agency network with more than 25 offices statewide, and growing.
The announcement was made by Aaron M. Davis, President & CEO of the HT Family of Companies, along with Jon Weber and Paul A. Krasker, Esq., Principals of Title Management, LLC. -- all of whom bring considerable expertise within the title industry.
Founded in 1984, the HT Family of Companies is the parent company to several full service title agencies in the Tampa Bay area, that operates the brands of Hillsborough Title, Paramount Title, Tampa Bay Title, Homeplus Title and Cornerstone Title. Resources include in-house legal counsel with three real estate attorneys on staff, a dedicated short sales department, ongoing training, a choice of seven of the top title insurance underwriters in the nation, and advanced title software and systems facilitating Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) compliance, data security, and best practices. The HT Family of Companies is ranked the No. 1 title company by number of closings by the Tampa Bay Business Journal and is among the top 1 percent of all the title agencies in the state, according to CoreLogic.
Title Management LLC was formed in 2009 and operates under the brands of Trident Title, LLC, CU Title, LLC, Performance Title & Escrow, LLC and Progressive Title, LLC. It is a leading full-service escrow management and title company along the east coast of the state of Florida, assisting property owners, real estate professionals and lenders in the issuance of title insurance for residential, commercial, developer transactions, refinance, reverse mortgages, vacant land, short sale, deed-in-lieu and foreclosures. The affiliation with the Homeowners Assistance Division of the Law Office of Paul A. Krasker offers foreclosure defense, short sale negotiation services, loss mitigation negotiation and credit restoration.
The Florida Agency Network has 25 locations throughout the state of Florida, and connects a staff of more than 200. For participating independent title companies, signature staff and personalized service remains, and clients now have the advantage of additional services, improved operational systems and an expanded breadth of resources. Aaron Davis and Jon Weber will serve as Statewide Directors of Business Development, and Krasker will serve as General Counsel.
"While planning our expansion to the East Coast, Trident Title kept coming up as the premier agency,” said Davis. “Trident has a strong reputation in the South Florida market, with strategically placed offices for the convenience of our clients, and great agency marketing."
"We are excited about collaborating with HT to form the Florida Agency Network," Weber said. "The HT Family of Companies, Trident Title and our respective JV partners all share common professional ethics and values.” Krasker added: “We have similar standards of customer service and, in each of our markets, a premier reputation. Joining forces will allow us to increase efficiencies, improve both operations and ultimately allow each title agency to provide a higher level of service to our clients.”
“Trident Title, LLC will be the agency used to open new offices within the Florida market.” Explained Davis, “The title industry will go through a substantial period of consolidation in the next few years. With the new data security measures, Dodd Frank, CFPB compliance and ALTA Best Practice standards, smaller title agencies will find it difficult to comply. We are prepared with the personnel, technology, and systems to benefit from this period of consolidation by offering the best of the independent title agents the ability to become a part of the Florida Agency Network.”
