BRADENTON — In a special meeting tomorrow, the Manatee County Commission is slated to accept the county's share of a settlement agreed to by BP for its role in the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil catastrophe.
During the meeting, the terms of the settlement will be given publicly. Commissioners and citizens are free to give comment on the topic; no other issues are scheduled for discussion at the special meeting.
The special meeting, which was announced Monday afternoon, will start at 1:30. The board chambers are located on the first floor of the Manatee County Administrative Building at 1112 Manatee Avenue West in Bradenton.
