New Noncredit Classes Offered at State College of Florida

BRADENTON-–State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) will offer new noncredit classes at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. West, SCF Lakewood Ranch, 7131 Professional Parkway, Sarasota and SCF Venice, 8000 S. Tamiami Trail and other locations.

Some of the new Continuing and Community Education courses coming up:

Aromatherapy for Fibromyalgia Sufferers, 1-3 p.m., Thursdays, March 17, May 17 or June 21, at SCF Venice. The fee is $30.

Aromatherapy for Pets, 1-3 p.m., Tuesdays, Feb. 17, April 14, or July 21, at SCF Venice. The fee is $30.

Difficult Conversations about Care for the Elderly Family Member, 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, February 16 and February 23, SCF Bradenton. The fee is 55.

Learn to Sail, 6-8 p.m., Thursdays, Jan. 20 – Feb. 24 and 1-4 p.m., Saturdays, Jan. 22, to Saturday, Feb.26, at SCF Lakewood Ranch. The fee is $324.

Captain License (OUPV) for Boaters, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday-Sunday, March 18-April 3, at SCF Lakewood Ranch. The fee is $665.

Genealogy: How to Begin & Genealogy: Online Search, 10 a.m. – noon, Saturdays, January 22 – February 26 or March 19 – April 30 at SCF Bradenton. The fee is $75.

Healer Coach Orientation, 6-8 p.m., Tuesdays, Jan.25 - Feb.15, at SCF Bradenton and 6-8 p.m., Wednesdays, Jan. 26-Feb.16, at SCF Lakewood Ranch. See CCD course catalog for additional classes in the series. The fee for the series is $2,095.

Beginner Adult Golf classes with a PGA Pro, 6 – 8 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays, March 14 – May 4, or 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 15 – May 5, at Suncoast Golf Center. The fee is $189.

An Introduction to Voiceovers, 6-8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 11, at SCF Bradenton. The fee is $49.

Basic Rider Class, 6:45 a.m. – 3 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, at SCF Bradenton and 6:30 – 9:30 p.m., Thursday, and 6:45 p.m. - 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at SCF Venice. The fee is $175.
