Henry Edward St. Onge went to be the Lord on July 24, 2016.
He was born November 9, 1940 in St. Albans, VT. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Arthur and Fabiola Gendron St. Onge.
He is survived by his sister Cecile (Joe) Arrington and their sons W.H (Kristy) Arrington from Sarasota and Jeffrey E. (Bethel) Arrington from Auburn, AL. He married Joann (Winter) Collver in 2002. He leaves a son, Eric Allen (Amber) St. Onge and two grandchildren, 2 step-sons Rick Richardson from Onstead, MI, Gregg (Julie) Richardson from Bradenton. Three step grandchildren, Ron R. (Liz) Kim R. and Laura R. and 4 step great grandchildren and his loving cat "Buddy“.
He and his family came to Palmetto when he was 15 and later graduated from Palmetto High School as Co Valedictorian in 1959. He attended Georgia Tech, MCC and FSU. He was employed by Tropicana as a Supervisor for serveral years. Later he worked for C.L. Swanson Vending Company for 18 years.
He was faithful to his church, family and friends. He was a avid reader, a movie "buff“ and loved to travel. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The Celebration of life will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Palmetto Presbyterian Church located at 1115 10th Ave. W., Palmetto, FL 34221.
Following the service the family will provide a light lunch in the Church Fellowship Hall and visitation if desired.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Southeastern Guide Dogs or Manatee County SPCA.
Interment will take place at a later date in MI.
