On July 13, Marvin R. Bills took his last breath on Earth with his beloved wife, Patty at his side.
He is now reunited with his parents, Roy and Ellen, and his brother Richard in the presence of God. Marvin was born July 18th, 1942 in Buffalo, NY.
He was a proud graduate of Florida State University in 1966 and remained a lifelong fan of the Fighting ÔNoles. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country as a 1st Lieutenant in Vietnam until 1969.
On July 27th, 1967, Marvin married the love of his life, Patty (Parrott) Bills. They welcomed their daughter, christened by Marvin as Spring Brooke Bills, in 1978 and he was proud as a father could be.
Marvin retired from his position as the Supervisor of School Food Service after 23 years, but he never stopped working. The Bills maintained homes in their two favorite places, Bradenton, FL and Franklin, NC, and are charter members of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in Bradenton.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Patty, and daughter, Spring. He also lived his life surrounded by nieces and nephews, lifelong friends, and beloved pets.
Marvin led by example and had an impact on countless lives. 1 Timothy 4:12 ESV / 15 Let no one despise you for but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
He will be missed. A celebration of life was held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Shannon Funeral Home Westview, 5610 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton with final military honors by the United States Army Honor Guard.
A private family inurnment took place at Fogartyville Cemetery in Bradenton.
