Obituary: Raymond L. Michel

Raymond L. Michel went to be with the Lord on May 20th, 2016.

He was born August 15, 1935 in Syracuse, NY to Lawrence and Dorothy (Mc Connell) Michel. He retired to Bradenton, Florida after 42 years as a melter at Crucible Steel. He enjoyed playing chess, going to the casinos, playing shuffle board with his league, and spending time with his family and friends.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Ethel (Fleming) Michel of Bradenton FL; two sisters and one brother, Dorothy (Susie) (John) Nappa of Syracuse NY, Sandra (James) Pillion, Francis (Diane) Michel of Syracuse NY; two children, daughter, Wendy and son, Steven of Syracuse NY; two stepsons, Randall (Patricia) Heaton of Corning NY, and Rodney (Tracy) Heaton of Ogdensburg NY; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by parents, Lawrence and Dorothy Michel; brother, Lawrence Michel; stepson, Richard D. Heaton; daughter, Amy Michel. Raymond also leaves behind many friends and two of the most devoted friends, Beverly and Jerry Foraker.

Memorial Services will be 1:00pm, Thursday, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3011 19th Avenue West, BradentonFL, 34205.
