PALMETTO – At Monday's City Commission meeting, members approved Resolution 2016-05, giving the commission the funds necessary to go forward with the Living Seawall contract for $311,526. In other business, Chief Tyler awarded Dispatch Supervisor Maria Sanchez as Civilian of the Year.

Action Request: Motion to authorize the Mayor to execute the contract with sole source vendor Reef Innovations, Inc in the amount of $311,526 and approve a 10% contingency of $31,152. – Approved, 4-1, Williams dissent
5. LIEN REDUCTION REQUEST 2002 10 STREET WEST (J. Fenton) (TAB 11)
Action Request: Motion to collect the lien amount of $6,046.68. – Approved, Unanimous
6. LAMB PARK TENNIS COURT AND BASKETBALL COURT MAINTENANCE DISCUSSION (TAB 12)
Staff will provide an update on the utilization and cost information for repairs. The Seafood Festival requested having the tennis and basketball court fences temporally removed and then reinstalled after the Seafood Festival is over. Commissioners discussed the opportunity to replace or move some of the facilities (new fence and or repaint courts) while the changes are being made. Commission decided to go with the proposed plan and if things change before the event the commission will update the request. –Approved, Unanimous
7. PUBLIC HEARING CU PERMIT 2015-02
This item was inadvertently advertised in the newspaper for a Public Hearing on February 22, 2016 by the City Commission. The actual Public Hearing is March 7, 2016 as stated at the February 1, 2016 Commission meeting.
Action Request: No action required, the Public Hearing is on March 7, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as same can be heard in these Chambers. – Approved, Unanimous
