Patricia Lynne Adams, known affectionately as Patty to her friends and family, passed away in her home this March, 2025, in Bradenton, FL. Born on September 14, 1954, in Quincy, IL, her warm presence and kind heart will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Patty was a woman whose life was marked by her passion for the unique treasures that could be found within the walls of thrift shops and local artists. Her eye for the weird and unusual finds was not just a hobby but a way of connecting with the world and the people in it. She used this skill for many years volunteering for those shops. She loved an item or artwork which could be tied back to Florida history or any number of the artists she encountered during her time with the Art Center of Manatee County.
She brought love and dedication to her family as she did to every aspect of her life. Patty is survived by her beloved daughters, Rebecca Blythe and Cassandra Adams; and son-in-law Jason Blythe. She was a loving mother, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. Those who were fortunate to cross paths with Patty will recall a woman whose essence was pride and love. She was so proud of her family and would always want to share news of her daughters. Her laughter was a melody that resonated in the hearts of those around her, and her generosity knew no bounds. Patty had the innate ability to make someone's day by sharing the smallest thing which reminded her of those around her.
As we bid farewell to Patricia Lynne Adams, we celebrate the mark she has left on this world. Her legacy of love, kindness, and an appreciation for the quirky side of life will continue to live on through her daughters, friends, and all the lives she touched. Patty's memory will be treasured forever as an inspiration to find joy in the simple things and to always approach life with a loving heart.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Brown and Sons Funeral Homes 43rd Street Chapel. We invite anyone who would like to attend to wear their best hat, as Patty's favorite collections was the hunt for new and elegant hats from times gone by.
