BRADENTON-- On Thanksgiving evening 2009, Tiger Wood’s life changed forever. Most of it, or more likely all of what happened, was his own doing. What has been reported over the past year about Tiger’s personal life has shocked many and disappointed most of the people who admired his accomplishments on the golf course. Author Tom Callahan explores Tiger Woods life from the perspective of his father Earl’s influence on him in his latest book ”His Father’s Son, Earl and Tiger Woods“.
According to Mr. Callahan, ”Earl Woods believed that a cosmic force brought him and Tiger together and that everything that happened in his life was a stepping stone towards that relationship.“ In his book he delves into the effect golf had on Tiger and how his extreme focus on the game caused most of his relationships to suffer.
Tom Callahan has written best-selling books in the past including one on Johnny Unitas and was a former senior writer for Time Magazine and columnist for the Washington Post. The Bradenton Times spoke with Mr. Callahan about Earl and Tiger Woods and that interview is posted below.
