A new poll shows that U.S. Reps. Alan Grayson and Patrick Murphy are neck and neck in the Democratic primary race for the seat of outgoing GOP Senator and new presidential candidate Marco Rubio.

The poll was conducted last week by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research and released Monday. The results show Murphy leading by 26 percent and Grayson close behind at 24 percent.

The third contender in the primary, U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham—the daughter of former Florida Gov. and Sen. Bob Graham—polled at 11 percent. 39 percent of people participating in the poll were undecided.

In a statement, Mason-Dixon pollster Brad Coker said the results show that due to a lack of well-known political names, the primaries so far are "muddled to say the least."

In contrast, the Republican primary for the 2016 Senate race currently has one clear frontrunner, former Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum, with 22 percent. His competitors in the GOP race are U.S. Rep. David Jolly (11 percent), U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis (8 percent), Lt. Gov. Carlos-Lopez Cantera (7 percent), U.S. Rep Jeff Miller (6 percent), and businessman Todd Wilcox (1 percent), with 39 percent undecided.
