Politics Biden May Join Democratic Primary Race

Posted

BRADENTON — Vice President Joe Biden is considering throwing his hat into the Democratic Presidential Primary, according to the New York Times. Biden is seen as one of the few candidates that could mount a viable campaign against presumptive candidate, Hilary Clinton.

Mr. Biden’s advisers have reportedly begun reaching out to Democratic donors and party leaders who have not committed to Clinton or have demonstrated concerns about her vulnerabilities as a candidate.

Biden ran for the nomination in 2008, but after a few somewhat embarrassing sound bites turned him into late night talk show fodder, he quietly bowed out only to reemerge as the surprise choice for the bottom of President Obama's ticket, when the then-Senator decided not to ask Senator Clinton.
