PORT CHARLOTTE — The Marauders (31-38) broke out the bats in 10th inning and batted through the order while plating four runs to defeat Charlotte 7-3 on Tuesday night at Charlotte Sports Park.

Bradenton never trailed in the game and withstood a pair of rallies as Charlotte erased a 2-0 deficit in the seventh and a 3-2 deficit in the 8th.

OF Harold Ramirez had a career day at the plate, collecting 4 RBIs and finishing a home run shy of the cycle. His two-run triple off Jeff Ames (1-2) in the 10th inning broke a 3-3 tie. Ramirez also stole his ninth base of the season in the game.

Charlotte got a strong start from Buddy Borden, who whiffed eight over the first four innings and pitched six strong frames. LHP Jayson Aquino was even better, tossing seven innings for the third straight start and matching his season high with six strikeouts.

RHP Montana DuRapau (W, 2-0) pitched a perfect bottom of the ninth with a strikeout to earn the win.

The game began after a 17 minute delay at 7:17 p.m. under overcast skies, 81 degrees, and wind blowing 13 mph from right to left...Jayson Aquino matched his season high with six strikeouts. Montana DuRapau has not walked a batter in eight straight appearances spanning 14 1/3 innings. The Marauders improve to 4-8 in extra-inning games.
