BRADENTON — As they prepare for their second RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) World Series in Texas, players and coaches for the Bradenton RBI Junior Team are to be recognized at McKechnie Field tonight by the Bradenton Marauders.
The Bradenton RBI Junior Team team's recognition will take place before the Marauders play the Jupiter Hammerheads tonight.
The team, which consists of players at the ages of 13-15, is coming off of their victory in July's RBI Southeast Regional Championship in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The RBI World Series will start next Wednesday, August 12.
The ceremony begins at about 6:05 p.m. McKechnie Field is located at 1611 9th Street West in Bradenton.
The McKechnie Field ticket office is open on non-gamedays Tuesday-Friday from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. On Monday-Friday gamedays the ticket office is open from 11:00 a.m. until the conclusion of the game. The ticket office opens two hours before Saturday, Sunday, and morning games.
