BRADENTON – The Bradenton Marauders are proud to announce their sponsorship of the Little League District 26 County Cup. The annual competition began this week and will continue through June 6th.
The Little League District 26 County Cup field is comprised of teams from the Lakewood Ranch Little League, the Braden River Little League, the Buffalo Creek Little League, the North River American Little League, and the Manatee West Little League. This is the first year the event has had a presenting sponsor.
”We are proud as an organization to sponsor the County Cup,“ Bradenton Marauders General Manager Trevor Gooby said. ”Supporting our local Little Leagues allows us to have a positive and wide-reaching impact on the youth of Manatee County. That we can have that kind of positive impact through the game of baseball is extra special for us.“
”The Marauders have done so much for Little Leagues locally,“ County Cup organizer Beth Van Vranken said. ”The cost of running a Little League keeps going up with umpire costs and light costs, and the Marauders support has really helped make the County Cup possible this year.“
There are 64 teams participating in the County Cup among three divisions. The three divisions are for Minors, Majors and Juniors. The Minors and Majors tournaments are being played at the Lakewood Ranch Little League and Manatee West Little League fields. The Juniors Division is playing at the Braden River Little League fields. Each field used for the event will have the Marauders logo on display.
