ports Marauders to Become Super Heroes This Friday at McKechnie Field

BRADENTON — The Bradenton Marauders return home to take on the St. Lucie Mets on Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1. The game on Friday, May 1 is Super Hero Night presented by Pepsi and will feature the Marauders wearing special Marvel Comics Avengers themed jerseys. The jerseys will be available for silent auction bids during the game. The games on Thursday and Friday will begin at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

April 30 is 2015’s first Thirsty Thursday presented by Budweiser and Ticket Sarasota. Sodas and select draft beers will cost just $1. Fans can join the Thirsty Thursday Club, your TICKET to Thirsty Thursdays, for only $60 to receive a club t-shirt, a ticket to every Thursday game, special concessions discounts, and the opportunity to earn great rewards all season. Each club member gets to start their Thursday night off right with one free 12 ounce beverage at each Thursday home game. Marauders season ticket holders can join the Thirsty Thursday Club for just $10.

Super Hero Night on May 1 is a Free Shirt Friday. The first 750 fans will receive a Marty the Marauder super hero t-shirt sponsored by Pepsi. The Heroes Alliance will have life sized super heroes in attendance for fans to take photos with. The Super Hero Night silent auction will be held during the game. Winning bidders will be invited onto the field after the game to have the jersey signed and to pose for a photo with the player or coach that wore the jersey.

Every Friday home game is also a Happy Hour Friday presented by Pier 22 Restaurant. Between 5:30 and 6:30 there will be great drink specials presented by Cheney Brothers.

The Marauders hit the road for the weekend, but McKechnie Field will host the fifth annual Cinco de Mayo and Taste of Latin America Festival presented by the Gulf Coast Latin Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, May 2. Tickets cost just $5 and children 12 and younger are free. The event runs from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Marty the Marauder celebrates his birthday on Tuesday, May 5, as the Marauders return home to face the Fort Myers Miracle (Minnesota Twins). The first 500 fans will receive a Marty doll as a party favor. Marty’s mascot friends from around the state of Florida will be at McKechnie Field to celebrate. Cake will be served. Fans are encouraged to sign Marty’s jumbo birthday card. The game is at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

The First Mates Kids Club takes over the ballpark for every Tuesday home game. Kids 12 and under can join the club for $15 to receive a game ticket and meal voucher at 10 Tuesday home games,

along with special experiences reserved for club members only during the season. Club members

also receive a free ticket to the game on Sunday, June 28 with an invitation to a postgame ice cream social with the Marauders. After Tuesday games there will be a Kids Fun Run presented by Mosaic for all kids 12 and younger to circle the bases. The 2015 First Mates Kids Club also has a free membership option featuring select club benefits.

Fans can enjoy a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer to each Tuesday home game. Chick-Fil-A presents 2-for-1 Tuesdays. Stop by the Chick-Fil-A at DeSoto Square Mall before each Tuesday home game to get a 2-for-1 ticket coupon.

The Marauders will also play the Miracle on Wednesday, May 6 at 6:30 p.m., after which the team will trek out on an eight-day road trip.

The McKechnie Field ticket office is open on non-gamedays Tuesday-Friday from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. On Monday-Friday gamedays the ticket office is open from 11:00 a.m. until the conclusion of the game. The ticket office opens two hours before SaturdaySunday, and morning games.
