BRADENTON — The Marauders (13-14) were blanked by the Fort Myers Miracle (11-16) on Wednesday night, falling 9-0 and dropping two of three in the split location series. 2B Erich Weiss went 3-for-4 for the

Marauders in defeat.

Fort Myers ace Chih-Wei Hu (W, 4-0) pitched five innings and struck out two. RHP Felipe Gonzalez (L, 1-3) labored through 2 1/3 innings for Bradenton before giving way to RHP Clario Perez. Perez spared the

beleaguered Bradenton bullpen with 4 2/3 innings while allowing just one run.

The game began at 6:32 p.m. under partly cloudy skies, 83 degrees, wind blowing 13 mph from left to right. The Marauders were shutout for the first time this season. Clario Perez set a new career high with 4 2/3 innings. Justin Maffei made his first career appearance on the mound.

Today, the Marauders travel to Roger Dean Stadium to begin a seven game road trip with the first meeting of the season against the Palm Beach Cardinals at 6:35 p.m. The Cardinals are the last South Division team the Marauders have yet to face.
