Longboat Key – FDOT will host a public information meeting for the upcoming State Road 789 (Gulf of Mexico Drive and East Bay Drive) resurfacing projects from Longboat Key Pass Bridge to State Road 64 in Bradenton Beach. The meeting will be held Thursday, May 20, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, located at 248 South Harbor in Holmes Beach.
Improvements being made as part of this project consist of milling and resurfacing the roadway, base work, shoulder, curb and gutters, signalization, highway signing and pavement marking, sidewalks and traffic monitoring. Project personnel will be available to answer questions concerning construction impacts to the public. Construction is expected to begin in May and continue through the fall.
This project is developed in compliance with title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related statutes. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.
