Public Safety BPD Officer of the Month

BRADENTON — Officer Lee Cosens was named the Bradenton Police Department’s Officer of the Month for December.

Last month while on patrol in the 800 block of 15th Street East, Officer Cosens was approached by a concerned citizen who informed him of a man suffering a seizure.

Officer Cosens located the man who was conscious but not responsive. He called EMS and began CPR. A short time later the man began to breathe slowly and his pulse increased. EMS arrived and continued to render medical assistance then transported him to the hospital for further treatment.

Officer Cosens’ quick actions are credited with saving this man’s life.
