Robert DeVore

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert (Rob) H. DeVore of Bradenton, Florida. Rob peacefully passed away on February 24, 2025, at the age of 64.

Born in South Bend, Indiana, Rob attended Snider High School in Fort Wayne, where he played on the Men's Varsity Tennis team. He graduated in 1978 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He later received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1986. During his time there, he was a member of the University of Toledo Law Review and interned for United States Magistrate James G. Carr in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Rob is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Tammy DeVore; sisters Amy Getschow and Natalie (John) Chapel, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and sister-in-law Diane Randlett of Southport, Maine. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Rob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. DeVore and Carol L. DeVore of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

From a young age, Rob loved boating and spending time on the water. He always had great stories to tell and will be remembered for his quick wit and love for his family and friends.

A private service has been planned for a later date.
