Robert Lawrence Vaughan Sr., age 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 21st, 2024, surrounded by the love of his devoted wife, Maureen, of 52 years of marriage and his three cherished children: Robert, Tara, and Nicole, who will forever hold his memory and continue his legacy.
In 1971, Robert and Maureen moved to New Jersey, where they built a life in Lodi NJ for over 40 years before retiring to Florida. Their journey together was filled with laughter, love, and countless memories.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Adeline, and his brothers, Billy and Edward. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his eight grandchildren: Alexis, Anthony, Sophia, John, Mia, Robert, James, and Giovani, who brought him immense joy. Robert also held a special place in his heart for his two sons-in-law, Anthony and John, and his daughter-in-law, Taylor, who enriched his life with love and made him a proud grandfather.
In addition to his immediate family, Robert is survived by his sister, Mary, and her husband, Steven, along with their two children and grandchildren. His warm spirit and his sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 2 Fremont Avenue, Park Ridge NJ, on December 12th at 10 am, giving friends and family the opportunity to gather and honor the remarkable man he was. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
