ANNA MARIA ISLAND — Oli Lemke, the owner of the Rod & Reel Pier, recently announced that the iconic Anna Maria restaurant would temporarily reopen in a strip mall in Holmes Beach in the former Old Hamburg Schnitzelhaus location. Lemke, who purchased the business in 2023, said that renovations to the property would begin immediately.
The original location was destroyed during the 2024 hurricane season. In response to comments on the Facebook reel announcing the new location, Lemke said that they were actively working to rebuild the original.
In a previous reel, Lemke had said that he had been unable to find an insurer for the original location and is relying on GoFundMe drive to assist in its reconstruction.
The address of the temporary location is 3246 E Bay Dr, Holmes Beach, FL 34217. No timeline for either project was announced.
