Bradenton, Florida - Roger W Krause age 96 of Bradenton, FL passed peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Sarasota Point Rehabilitation Center In Sarasota, FL.

Roger was born to Herbert and Isabelle (Wieck) Krause on August 30, 1928 in Sheboygan, WI. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, WI in 1946. On May 22, 1951 he married the love of his life, Leonore Krause in the rectory of St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Manitowoc, WI.

Roger served in the US Army from November 27,1950 to November 5, 1952. After an honorable discharge, Roger pursued various careers throughout his long life. Some of the highlights include owning and operating real estate and insurance companies, working as a firefighter in Manitowoc, WI and Cape Canaveral, FL and being the proprietor of a tavern in Cleveland, WI.

Following his retirement Roger and Leonore moved to Bradenton, FL, where he kept busy performing maintenance for the condo complex in which they resided. Roger was an avid tennis player who enjoyed giving lessons to the "younger folks" in his complex.

Roger and Leonore were renowned entertainers who loved to host parties for the family, friends and everyone else who enjoyed a good time. Games of BINGO, cribbage and Rummikub. were special; favorites, especially when accompanied by a glass of Cold Duck The memories of their joyous laughter live in the hearts of their loved ones whenever we remember them.

Roger is survived by his loving companion for 18 years Barb Birkenberger his neighbor Holly and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Leonore, daughter Joy Lynn and son David.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 23,2025 at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 833 Magellan Dr, Sarasota, Fl at 10:00 a.m. with the Fr. John Hoang officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends, at the church, from 9:00 until the time of services. Military honors will be accorded by VFW Post 1041 immediately following the services at the church. Cremation has taken place.
