Ryan also known as "Rhino", passed away tragically at the age of 51.
Ryan was born in Kenton, OH. His family moved to Bradenton, FL in 1979 and became a lifelong resident of Manatee County. He attended Wakeland Elementary, Bradenton Middle and Southeast High School. He graduated in 1991 " Life of the party". He was very active with baseball from the age of seven, which continued throughout High School.
Ryan was employed by Flora-Quick Grassing (Wade Cooper) for 30 years. He specialized in Erosion Control. He was also a Master Craftsman. Ryan had many skills and blessed many with his talents and gifts.
Ryan married Darlene Wilson in 1997. They were married for 27 years. They had two sons Nolan and Rawley Thacker.
Ryan was a simple man and believed you should live like a turtle (Step back, take your time, think about it, then do it). He never met a stranger and made a best friend out of everyone he met. He gave everything he could to help provide for his family and friends.
Ryan loves throwing a good game of horseshoes, or any game he could create. He enjoyed gambling, drinking a beer or two and cleaning up the land we all lived on.
He is survived by his wife Darlene Thacker, His two Sons Nolan and Rawley Thacker, Mother Sandra Thacker, Brother David Smith (Adena), Sisters Sharon Frankenberger (Anthoney), Mary Bayes (Jeff) and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his Father Leon Thacker and his Grandmother Katheryn Snider.
Ryan was a hardworking man who loved his family, friends and God. He died with Dignity, Honor and Pride!
He will be deeply missed. He loved all and is loved by all.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Brown and Sons Funeral Homes 43rd Street Chapel.
