BRADENTON -- Its not too late to donate. Staff and volunteers will be out again tonight collecting toys for The
Salvation Army Angel Tree Toy Shop.
”Last night was a lot of fun“, says David Pavkovich, toy shop camper, ”but we still didn’t get a lot of donations“. Organizers say if they are going to have enough to go around to the remaining 400 angels they will need much more. ”The girl section for ages 8-12 years is completely empty“, shares Angel Tree Coordinator, Alma Gower. ”We also need items for boys 8-12 years old and a variety for other ages“. Families will begin to arrive Monday morning, December 19to pick up their gifts.
Distribution will continue through Wednesday, December 21. Interested donors may drop off toys throughout the day and night Friday, December 16 through Saturday, December 17 at midnight. Suggested gift items include books, puzzles, toys or games for a variety of ages, clothing, bikes, dolls and learning items. Special needs include gift items for ages 10 to 12.
