Sarasota Bay Estuary program offers free excursions around the Bay

Posted

Looking for some fun on the water? You don't need a yacht, just a kayak.

And you don't even need to own a kayak, because you can rent one.

The Sarasota Bay Estuary Program's popular Bay Wise Kayak Tour program is being offered again.

From December to April, retired marine biologist and SBEP Citizen Advisory Committee member Dr. Jack Taylor will lead an education kayak tour in Sarasota Bay waters twice a month. Discover the plants, animals, habitats and other features that make Sarasota Bay an Estuary of National Significance.

This program is sponsored by the Sarasota Bay Estuary Program and is free to the public.

All trips will be two to three hours long and depart promptly at 9 a.m. Space is limited to 15 people per trip.
