BRADENTON--The next nine games for SCF will determine just how good a team they are as the Manatees open its Suncoast Conference schedule Wednesday night in Lakeland against Polk State College.

SCF comes off an impressive 92-79 win over Webber International last Friday in a game where four Manatees scored in double figures. Head Coach Reggie Bellamy, although happy to get the win, said the team needs to play better defense in the upcoming conference games.
Even though both SCF (6-8) and Polk State (9-11) have records under .500, it will be the final nine conference contests that determine a team’s position in the Suncoast Conference Tournament in February.
SCF returns home to Hal Chasey Gym for a 4:00 p.m. tip-off Saturday against St. Petersburg College. The Bradenton Times next broadcast of Manatee basketball will be a home game on Wednesday January 26th at 7:00 p.m. when SCF faces Hillsborough College.
