As a former teacher, Jennifer Radebach wants to help ensure that every child in Manatee County has a quality education.
To do so, she is mounting a campaign to fill the seat on the Manatee County School Board that will be vacated by long-time school board Member Walter Miller at the end of the year.
”I feel that I would be an effective part of the team to help the district move forward,“ she said. ”I tend to focus on a strong early educational foundation, and I think that is important to get end results, the statistics you are looking for when students graduate.“
That statement reflects Radebach’s background. She was a special education teacher in Manatee County for five years before she opened the Radebach School, a voluntary pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade accredited institution, in 2000. She sold the school in 2008, and is now a co-owner of a general contracting company with her husband.
Radebach said she wants to see all schools in the district offering the same services and programs regardless of location. She also wants to see more partnerships with local businesses.
”My mission was to offer highest quality educational program regardless of their background of behavior,“ Radebach said. ”Every student has every opportunity to be exposed to the best education possible.“
Born in New Jersey, Radebach moved to Manatee County at the end of her fifth-grade year. She then went to college in New York, graduated in 1993 and moved back to Manatee in 1995. She lives with her husband and three children, two boys and a girl, in Bradenton.
A campaign finance report for Radebach has not been posted on the Manatee County Supervisor of Elections website.
