Schools and Education Spotlight on Education: Manatee Students Advance to State Science Fair Championships

BRADENTON – On Tuesday, Manatee County Schools announced the winners of its 2015 junior (middle schools) and senior (high schools) science fair championships during a ceremony at Manatee High School. 17 of the winners were selected to advance to the 60th Annual State Science and Engineering Fair in Lakeland, Florida, March 31-April 2.

The 17 students not only earned first place in the 2015 Lockheed Martin Manatee Regional Science and Engineering Fair, but were selected by judges to represent Manatee County at the state level (not all county winners are selected to advance). The students are listed below by school and with their teacher.

Students competed in a variety of fields and were given special industry awards specific to their categories.
